The Sunday/Holiday schedule will apply to all regular fixed-route buses and trolleys. All RIPTA offices, except for the Newport Transportation Center, will be closed on Monday, August 8

Route 68 service connects neighborhoods in the north end of Newport to local beaches

🗓️ June 27, 2022 - Improving Public Transportation Access to Hundreds of Residents The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) today announced the expansion of Flex Service 281 (Woonsocket/Manville) into Manville, Rhode Island. Passengers can travel within the local Flex Zone, which includes Woonsocket and Manville, in addition to connecting to RIPTA’s fixed-route, statewide service.

🗓️ June 9, 2022 - The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) will detour Route 4 (Warwick Ave.) on Saturday, June 11, 2022 to accommodate the Gaspee Days Parade. The detour will be in effect from the first trip of the day until 2:00pm.
