🗓️ August 10, 2021 - RIPTA Working To Resolve Issue That Has Also Affected Communications The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) said today that it is experiencing communication and computer issues, following a cybersecurity issue late last week. RIPTA stressed that it has continued uninterrupted transit service with its fixed-route, Flex, and paratransit programs as it continues to work with professional consultants to resolve the issues.

🗓️ August 13, 2021 - Officials from the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) were in Newport yesterday to thank the community groups that were instrumental in advocating for the free beach shuttle pilot program that launched this summer. RIPTA makes regular service adjustments three times a year in response to seasonal changes and/or passenger use.

🗓️ September 27, 2021 - The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) will detour twenty-one bus routes in the downtown Providence area on Sunday, October 17, 2021, in order to accommodate the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk. Routes 1, 3, 4, 17, 19, 21, 30, 31, 33, 34, 35, 50, 55, 78, 92 will be detoured from 8:15AM to 1:30PM.
